About Me

Melynda's Educational Philosophy

Let my life bless other lives I touch along the way.

Education is my passion, and imparting knowledge in an easy-to-understand format is fundamental to my work. Born into a family of teachers, I am an academic at heart and believe in life-long learning. Throughout my own life, I have developed an attitude of service, a desire to lead, and an expectation of excellence. Whether sharing my knowledge of communication, the English language, or conflict resolution, I am most at home in a school environment, virtually or in real time. Over the past 25 years, I have taught and led clients, sales forces, youth groups, seminar participants, and college students. As an educator, I enjoy creating interactive, engaging, technology-rich curricula that include Socratic and experiential teaching methods linking lessons to life experiences. My approach is primarily Existentialist by focusing on the personal growth and improvement of each individual. My goals are to increase the critical thinking and decision-making skills of others, to facilitate consensus building and teamwork within workgroups, and to nurture an understanding of the substantial benefits of civil, respectful communication in all aspects of life. Professionally, I am looking to increase my workload to create the desired personal/professional balance in my life.
